Japanese technology giant Konica Minolta has suffered a ransomware attack, allegedly by ransomware that caused service outages.
Reportedly, the Japanese technology giant Konica Minolta has suffered a ransomware attack. The incident hit the firm a few weeks ago and took time for the company to remediate it. The news about the attack surfaced online after the customers noticed website outages. According to a post shared on Reddit, customers faced trouble in accessing the product supply and support site.
The outage continued for about a week with no update from the firm to the customers. All that they did was to update the outage message to link back a support document asking the customers to perform a reset.
For now, it isn’t clear whether the firm had paid the ransom to the attackers for recovery or not.
